World'vest Base Inc. (WVB), is a Chicago based company that was established in 1985 and developed the most comprehensive financial database on non-US companies. Since 2001, WVB has started to expand the data coverage to include the USA. In 1998, WVB established its first data collection center outside the USA, in Prague-Czech Republic. In 2001, it established its office in Kuala Lumpur-Malaysia. The company was reorganized under Financial Intelligence Services Limited, Hong Kong. Thereafter, additional data collection companies were established in Hanoi-Vietnam; Cairo-Egypt; Guadalajara-Mexico; Bangkok-Thailand and Beijing-China.
WVB's data was originally offered through an exclusive marketing agreement with Telekurs NA and then Standard & Poor's. Since 1997, WVB provides data directly to customers and through other distributors, like Bureau van Dijk Publishing. In that period, through its data quality and dedication to its customers, WVB is now supplying data to some of the world's leading investment banks and consulting firms, exchanges, government agencies and specialized information re-distributors. Since the beginning of 1999, WVB has also made significant inroads in the financial portals market. Since 2003, the company has expanded its database services to include specialized databases on private companies with financial data in India, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam" and Non-Financial data for private companies in 11 other countries. During that same period the company has created value-added products in the field of credit and business risk rating and analysis.
